Red, White And Blue
“The bravura of blue updates the old-fashioned high-ceilinged living room of designer Ronald Gerri. The walls’ heavy trim all but disappears into the blue, as does the matching sofa. A switch from the usual way of playing bright colors against white, the blue expanse intensifies the whiteness of the sculpture and the gleam of an Italian lamp. The well-worn parquet floor is snapped out of its retiring roll by a coat of white paint, plus a zebra rug with red edging—a beautiful hoax since it too is done with paint. Fun also: an eye-riveting red table cut from a carton.”
(It is quite patriotic to be cheap. I know i want my interior designer to make a table out of a cardboard box. Actually, I know a few guys downtown that would love that. And um… that picture is a little scandalous.)
