Seating Strategy
“Low geometric shapes combined into floor-hugging furniture, keep the focus down, giving the intimate feeling of a step-down conversation pit. Yet the low-ceilinged room actually has no differences in its floor level. Bright colors and forms—gay as kindergarten play equipment—are allied to make normal-height seats comfortable for conversation and convenient to games and a record player. Cubes between chairs can be sat on or, topped with marble, used as tables. For more gaiety: carpeting that also plays games with lively shapes and colors.”
(Definitely want my living room to look like Gymboree. Record player is pretty fab though.)
